ALEJANDRO ROMÁN - Abriliana, Op. 21

The "City Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague" conducted by Richard Hein interprets this work of Alejandro Román in a recording made on December 6, 2009 in Prague Rudolfinum Theatre, home of the Orchestra.

The title "Abriliana" refers to the explosion of colors, sounds and aromas of April represented a major orchestral tutti at the beginning of the work, which is also a tribute to my dear master and great composer Antón García Abril. In the orchestra, the infinite instrumental timbres give this pastoral figure, where wood and rope provide a thousand shades, amplified by the metal and percussion (tubular bells, glockenspiel, xylófono and other appliances).
